DAVENPORT, Iowa – May 20, 2016 – Work to replace twin box culverts on Iowa 136 over Barn Creek between U.S. 67 and Clinton County Road E-50 will require closing the roadway to traffic beginning Wednesday, June 1, until Friday, Sept. 2, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office.
Motorists will be detoured around the work zone by using Mill Creek Parkway, U.S. 30, and U.S. 67.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
