Westbound I-680 at the I-80 interchange near Minden closed until Friday night for emergency repairs #iatraffic

ATLANTIC, Iowa – May 12, 2016 – Emergency pavement patching and repairs on westbound Interstate 680 at the interchange with I-80 near Minden requires closing the roadway to traffic until 6 p.m. Friday, May 13, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 4 office.

Motorists will be detoured around the closure by taking I-80 into Council Bluffs, I-29, and I-680.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
