Public input requested for proposed bridge replacements on Iowa 3 in Buena Vista County

AMES, Iowa – June 27, 2016 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed replacement of the Iowa 3 bridge over the North Raccoon River approximately 2.5 miles east of U.S. 71, and the drainage ditch that is approximately 3.3 miles east of U.S. 71 in Buena Vista County.

The proposed project provides for replacing the existing North Raccoon River bridge with a 150-by-42-foot continuous concrete slab bridge, and replacing the 36-by-30-foot bridge over drainage ditch #34 with a 12-by-11-by-122-foot reinforced box culvert.
