CHARITON, Iowa – July 13, 2016 – Installation of temporary barrier rail on Interstate 35 from Warren County Road G-50 (exit 52) to Iowa 5 (exit 68) in Warren County will require closing portions of the roadway to traffic nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, July 18, until Friday, July 22, at 6 a.m., weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Chariton construction office.

Motorists will be detoured around the closures using Warren County Road G-50, Warren County Road G-45, Iowa 92, Iowa 28 through Norwalk, and Iowa 5.

C.J. Moyna & Sons is the prime contractor for this project.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
