SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Oct. 31, 2016 – Ramp construction work, in conjunction with the Interstate 29 interchange reconstruction project in Sioux City, will require closing the southbound I-29 off-ramp to Hamilton Boulevard from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 1, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 Office.

Motorists will use the southbound Floyd Boulevard off-ramp (exit 147) during the closure.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
