AMES, Iowa – Oct. 30, 2017 – All Iowa Department of Transportation business locations will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in honor of Veterans Day. Iowa DOT driver’s license service centers will also be closed Saturday, Nov 11, but open on Monday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. These centers are typically closed on Mondays. AMES, Iowa – Oct. 25, 2017 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is announcing the temporary closure of the undeveloped rest area at milepost 51 on southbound Interstate 35 in Warren County beginning Nov. 13, 2017.
