Iowa 146 near Le Grand to close April 2 for road construction work #iatraffic

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – March 28, 2018 – A project to construct a new bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad and install Portland cement concrete pavement will require closing Iowa 146 in both directions between Marshall County Road E-49 and U.S. 30, near Le Grand, from 12:01 a.m. Monday, April 2, until Wednesday, Nov. 21, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Marshalltown construction office.

During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone using U.S. 30, Iowa 14, Iowa 146, and Marshall County Road E-63.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
