Public input requested for proposed bridge project on U.S. 69 in Polk County
AMES, Iowa – March 15, 2018 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed bridge project on U.S. 69 over Four Mile Creek, 0.1 mile south of Polk County Road F-22. The proposed project provides for removing the existing bridge and replacing with a three-span, 130-by-44-foot continuous concrete slab bridge. New bridge approaches will be constructed and guardrails installed.
Through traffic on U.S. 69 would be detoured during construction using Northeast 36th Street, Interstate 35, and Polk County Road F-22. For more information, see the website listed below.
