Update: On-ramp to northbound I-380 from Wilson Avenue closure postponed one week due to weather #iatraffic
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – March 30, 2018 – Due to weather conditions, the subcontractor cannot install the tapes to shift the traffic lanes on northbound Interstate 380 tonight and will not be able to start the project this weekend as previously scheduled. The on-ramp to northbound I-380 from Wilson Avenue closure will not occur tonight, but will be rescheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, April 6, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Cedar Rapids construction office.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
