Iowa 37 to close at the railroad crossings in Dunlap for repairs April 18 and 19 #iatraffic

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – April 12, 2018 – Repairs at the Chicago, Central & Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad crossings at Iowa 37 in Dunlap will require closing the roadway to traffic beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, until Thursday, April 19, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Sioux City construction office.

During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone using U.S. 30, Remsen Street, Harrison County Road F-14, and Iowa 37.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
