Registration ends May 3 for Iowa’s annual Motorcycle Safety Forum
AMES, Iowa – April 30, 2018 – Time is running short to register for Iowa’s annual Motorcycle Safety Forum to be held Friday, May 11 at the Holiday Day Inn - Airport Conference Center in Des Moines. To register, go to https://iowadot.gov/mvd/motorcycle/motorcycle-safety-forum.
To attend, you must register before midnight on May 3. There will be no on-site registrations accepted the day of the event.
The annual event is hosted by the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau and motorcycle safety groups. This year’s theme is “Building a foundation, one rider at a time.”
Speakers include:
- Ron Braaksma and Devere “Beaver” Adams, ABATE of Iowa
- Michael Davis, Motorcycle Safety Foundation
- Ric Pike, Iowa RiderCoach Trainer
- Panel discussions related to:
- Perspectives on rider safety courses
- Improving interactions through mutual understanding: law enforcement, EMS, and riders
The event is open to anyone with an interest in motorcycle safety. The fee for the event is $25 and includes continental breakfast and a lunch.
