Traffic shifts at the Iowa 58/Viking Road interchange project in Cedar Falls begin Monday morning #iatraffic
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – April 13, 2018 – In preparation for the traffic shifts and lane closures at the Iowa 58/Viking Road interchange project on Monday morning, April 16, traffic on Iowa 58 will not be able to make left-hand turns at Viking Road from 3 a.m. until 7 a.m., weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
