I-35 ramps at Cerro Gordo County Road B-20 (exit 197) near Clear Lake intermittently closed June 20 - 21 for pavement resurfacing work
MASON CITY, Iowa – June 18, 2018 – Pavement resurfacing work on the Interstate 35 on- and off-ramps at Cerro Gordo County Road B-20 (exit 197) near Clear Lake will require intermittent daytime ramp closures from Wednesday, June 20 until Thursday, June 21, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Mason City construction office.
The north- and southbound ramps will not be closed at the same time, allowing traffic to proceed to the next interchange and drive back to reach Cerro Gordo County Road B-20 (exit 197). All ramps will be opened in the evening.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
