I-35 ramps at Iowa 9 (exit 203) near Hanlontown intermittently closed Thursday, July 26 for pavement resurfacing work

MASON CITY, Iowa – July 25, 2018 – Pavement resurfacing work on the Interstate 35 on- and off-ramps at Iowa 9 (exit 203) near Hanlontown will require intermittent daytime ramp closures on Thursday, July 26, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Mason City construction office.

The north- and southbound ramps will not be closed at the same time, allowing traffic to proceed to the next interchange and drive back to reach Iowa 9 (exit 203). All ramps will be opened by evening.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
