Proposed improvements on U.S. 65 in Cerro Gordo County to be discussed January 8 in Rockwell


AMES, Iowa – Dec. 27, 2018 – The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Tuesday, Jan. 8, to discuss three proposed bridge replacements on U.S. 65 over Beaverdam Creek, near Rockwell, in Cerro Gordo County.

U.S. 65 traffic would be detoured during construction using Cerro Gordo County Roads B-60, S-34, and B-43.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting anytime between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. at the Rockwell Community Center, 114 3rd St. N.

The meeting will be conducted utilizing an open forum format. Iowa DOT staff will be present to informally discuss the proposed replacements.
