Iowa 14 north of Marshalltown to close July 22 for culvert replacements

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – July 15, 2019 – Culvert replacements for a grading project on Iowa 14 north of Marshalltown will require closing the roadway to traffic between Iowa 96 in Marshall County and Iowa 175 in Grundy County from 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 22, until mid-October, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Marshalltown construction office. 

During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone (see map) using Iowa 96, Marshall/Grundy County Road T-29, and Iowa 175. 

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
