Clinton County Road Y-62/260th Street at U.S. 30 west of DeWitt to close Saturday morning, Sept. 7

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Sept. 6, 2019 – A project to grade and place asphalt pavement on U.S. 30 west of DeWitt in Clinton County requires closing Clinton County Road Y-62 at U.S. 30 beginning at noon Saturday, Sept. 7, until 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office.

During this closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone using 260th Street/Clinton County Road Y-62, 212th Street, U.S. 61, and U.S. 30.

Determann Asphalt of Camanche was awarded this $3,999,288 project.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
