Nighttime closures on the east I-380/U.S. 20 interchange in Black Hawk County scheduled for Jan. 27 and 28
NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – Jan. 21, 2020 – Work to remove and replace existing sign trusses at the east Interstate 380/U.S. 20 interchange in Black Hawk County requires single lane and full road closures from 8 p.m. until midnight on Monday, Jan. 27 and Tuesday, Jan. 28, weather permitting, according to Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.
Each night of road closures will begin with a single lane being closed to traffic during the first hour. Motorists can then expect up to four full road closures of up to 20 minutes for the rest of the night.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
