Iowa DOT Seeking Input from Des Moines Metro Commuters
AMES, Iowa– Dec. 16, 2020 – Iowa Department of Transportation and regional transit partners are asking the public to help shape the future of transportation in the Des Moines metro area. To participate, please use our interactive online forum to learn more about future transportation projects in the metro area and provide feedback. Your comments will be accepted until Sunday, Dec. 20.
This online forum is part of the Iowa DOT’s larger effort to consider integrated corridor management strategies in the Des Moines area. These strategies help you get where you’re going more efficiently through cost-effective proactive traffic management. Similar efforts have been successfully implemented in other metropolitan areas throughout the U.S.
Iowa DOT will use integrated corridor management strategies to proactively manage traffic under all types of conditions to deliver improved levels of safety, mobility, reliability, and quality of life.
