Public input requested for proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 18 in Clayton County
AMES, Iowa – March 26, 2021 – The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input for a proposed bridge replacement on U.S. 18 over Dry Run Creek, located 0.6 miles west of East Junction U.S. 52 in Clayton County.
The proposed project involves replacing the existing 292’ long x 30’ wide continuous I-Beam Bridge with a 302’ long twin 12’ x 7’ RCB culvert.
Construction of the project is expected to begin in 2023.
Through traffic on U.S. 18 would be detoured, for a portion of construction using Clayton County Roads X-28 and B-60, Iowa 13, and U.S. 52. For more information, see the website listed below.
