Iowa Transportation Commission to meet October 12 in Waterloo


AMES, Iowa – Oct. 7, 2021 – The Iowa Transportation Commission will hold its next business meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Courtyard Waterloo Cedar Falls Hotel, 250 Westfield Avenue, in Waterloo. While the meeting is anticipated to be open for in-person attendance by delegations and the public, participation via conference call or Teams is still encouraged to minimize the number of in-person attendees. This is to assure adequate social distancing measures can be accommodated.

Transportation tour
The Commission and Iowa Department of Transportation staff will tour transportation projects in northern Iowa Monday, Oct. 11, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Courtyard Waterloo Cedar Falls Hotel, 250 Westfield Avenue, in Waterloo. The tour will end around 2:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Waterloo Cedar Falls Hotel. Transportation-related matters may be discussed, but no action will be taken on the tour.

The Commission will meet informally with staff from the Iowa DOT Monday, Oct. 11, in person and via conference call beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Waterloo Cedar Falls Hotel, 250 Westfield Avenue, in Waterloo, following the tour. While the meeting is anticipated to be open for in-person attendance by delegations and the public, participation via conference call or Teams is still encouraged to minimize the number of in-person attendees.
