DAVENPORT, Iowa – May 25, 2022– As part of the Interstate 80/Herbert Hoover Highway (exit 249) interchange project, the Westbound I-80 exit ramp to Herbert Hoover Highway will be closed beginning May 31, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office. The ramp is expected to be closed until July 13.

During this closure, traffic will be detoured (see map) by traveling on westbound I-80 to Iowa 1, and then turning onto eastbound I-80 (exit 246).

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
