SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Aug. 4, 2022 – A bridge deck overlay project on Iowa 3, 0.4 mile west of Plymouth County Road K-22 requires closing the roadway to traffic for emergency shoulder repairs beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 9, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 Office.  The roadway will reopen to traffic Tuesday evening.

During this project, Iowa 3 traffic will be detoured onto Plymouth County roads K-42, C-38, and K-22.

As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
