Port Neal Road/Woodbury County Road K-25 at I-29 in Sergeant Bluff to temporarily close beginning on Monday, Aug. 22

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Aug. 11, 2022 – A bridge deck overlay project on Port Neal Road/Woodbury County Road K-25 at Interstate 29 in Sergeant Bluff requires closing the roadway to traffic in both directions beginning on Monday, Aug. 22, until Friday, Sept. 16, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s District 3 Office.  

During this project, traffic will be detoured using South Bridge Drive, Aviation Boulevard/1st Street, and Port Neal Road/Woodbury County Road K-25. Cramer and Associates., Inc. of Grimes was awarded the $346,821 contract.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
