Nighttime road closures on Iowa 415 near Polk City on September 25 and 26
DES MOINES, Iowa – Sept. 19, 2022 – Nighttime maintenance work on Iowa 415 to patch the west approach to the Mile Long Bridge near Polk City will require closing the roadway overnight on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 25 and 26, starting at 7 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m., weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Des Moines maintenance office.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
