Lane closures on Iowa 175 in Monona County begin on Monday, April 3
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – March 27, 2023 – If you travel on Iowa 175 in Monona County three miles east of Monona County Road L-12 you need to be aware of a construction project that may slow down your trip. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 3 until July 7, weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a ten-foot lane-width restriction in place as crews work to replace a bridge deck.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
