Temporary closure of Iowa 3 in Dubuque County begins on Monday, April 3
MANCHESTER, Iowa – March 27, 2023 – A paving project on Iowa 3 from Boy Scout Road to Pfeiler Road in Dubuque County which includes utility work in Rickardsville requires closing the roadway to traffic from Monday, April 3, until Wednesday, Nov. 1, weather permitting. This is part of a $15 million construction project on Iowa 3 which requires closing the roadway from Monday, April 3 until Wednesday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.
For this portion of the $15 million construction project, local traffic will be maintained with thru traffic being detoured on U.S. 20 to Dyersville and U.S. 52 to Luxemburg. The prime contractor for the project is CJ Moyna from Elkader and the paving contractor is Flynn from Dubuque.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
