Iowa 14 at the BNSF crossing in Knoxville to close on Monday, Oct. 9
FAIRFIELD, Iowa – Oct. 2, 2023 – If you travel on Iowa 14 in Knoxville you need to be aware of an upcoming railroad crossing repair project that may slow down your trip.
At 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9 until Saturday, Oct. 14, weather permitting, construction crews will close the roadway so they can make repairs to the BNSF railroad crossing on Iowa 14.
While work is taking place you will follow a marked detour route by using Iowa 92, Marion County Road T-17, and Iowa 163.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
