Lane closure on eastbound U.S. 20 at Lakeport Road in Sioux City begins on Monday, Oct. 30
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Oct. 26, 2023 – If you travel on eastbound U.S. 20 in Sioux City you need to be aware of a construction project that may slow down your trip.
Beginning on Monday, Oct. 30, construction crews will close a lane on eastbound U.S. 20 at Lakeport Road to accommodate an emergency bridge repair project. Construction is anticipated to be complete on Wednesday, Nov. 22, weather permitting.
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
