Closure of northbound I-35 on-ramp at 13th Street (exit 113) in Ames begins on Monday, April 8

AMES, Iowa – April 2, 2024 – If you use the northbound Interstate 35 entrance ramp at 13th Street (exit 113) to reach northbound I-35 you need to be aware of an upcoming ramp closure that could impact your trip.

Beginning on Monday, April 8 until Friday, April 12, weather permitting, the northbound I-35 entrance ramp at 13th Street (exit 113) will be closed so crews working with the City of Ames can construct sanitary sewer lines and paving in the northeast part of Ames. While the on-ramp is closed you will follow a marked detour route to reach northbound I-35 using East 13th Street, North Dayton Avenue, and Story County Road E-29/190th Street (exit 116).

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
