Entrance ramps at the U.S. 30/U.S. 61 interchange will close next week

DAVENPORT, Iowa – May 17, 2024 – If you drive on northbound U.S. 61 and eastbound U.S. 30 at the U.S. 61/U.S. 30 interchange near De Witt you need to be aware of an upcoming construction project that may impact your trip.

Starting on Tuesday, May 21, until the end of July, weather permitting, construction crews will close the northbound U.S. 61 entrance ramp to westbound U.S. 30 and the entrance ramp from eastbound U.S. 30 to northbound U.S. 61 so repairs can be made to the U.S. 61 overpass.

During the ramp closures you will follow a marked detour route using the ramps at the U.S. 30/U.S. 61 interchange.

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
