Changing traffic patterns as new Eastbound I-80 lanes and ramps open at West Branch Interchange
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Sept. 27, 2024 – Beginning Monday night, September 30th, 2024, motorists traveling along Interstate 80 should be prepared for changing traffic patterns as crews prepare to open the newly constructed eastbound lanes and ramps at the West Branch Interchange. This transition marks a significant milestone in the ongoing project to enhance traffic flow and safety in the area.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
