Westbound I-80 entrance ramp at the Iowa 130/Northwest Boulevard interchange (exit 292) in Davenport will close on Tuesday, Oct. 8
DAVENPORT, Iowa – Oct. 3, 2024 – If you travel on Iowa 130/Northwest Boulevard to reach westbound Interstate 80 in Davenport you should be aware of an upcoming entrance ramp closure that may slow down your trip, according to the Iowa DOT’s Davenport construction office.
Beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, until mid-November, weather permitting, crews will close the westbound I-80 entrance ramp at the interchange with Iowa 130 (exit 292) so a concrete ramp extension can be constructed.
During the entrance ramp closure, you will travel on a marked detour route that uses eastbound I-80 and U.S. 61 (exit 295) to reach westbound I-80 (see map).
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
