Pavement resurfacing work on I-380 from Iowa 150 (exit 43) to the Black Hawk County line (exit 55) begins on March 24

NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – March 13, 2025 – Beginning on Monday, March 24, until late-October, weather permitting, crews will work on hot-mix asphalt paving work on north- and southbound Interstate 380 between Iowa 150 (exit 43) to the Black Hawk County line (exit 55). This project will also include paving the bridge deck on the northbound I-380 bridge over Iowa 150, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s New Hampton construction office.

Long-term lane closures will be in use throughout the project. Changeable message signs will also be in place in advance of the work zones to alert you of the work taking place and possible delays.

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
