U.S. 65 south of Warren County Road G-58 to close on April 15
CHARITON, Iowa – March. 26, 2025 – Replacement of the U.S. 65 bridge over Otter Creek, 1.6 miles south of Warren County Road G-58 will require closing the roadway to traffic beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, until late November, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Chariton construction office.
While the road is closed you will be detoured around the work zone with a marked detour route that uses U.S. 65 and Warren County G-76 (see map).
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
