No meeting - The Iowa Department of Transportation is requesting public input on the proposed bridge replacement over Buck Creek on Iowa 3, 0.6 mile east of Bremer County Road V-56.
The proposed project provides for replacing an existing 120-by-28-foot steel girder bridge with a 164-by-44-foot pretensioned, prestressed concrete beam bridge. Resurfacing will also take place (300 feet on the west side and 375 feet on the east side). New bridge approaches will be constructed and the guardrail will be replaced.
Through traffic on Iowa 3 would be detoured during construction using Bremer County roads V-56 and C-33 and Bremer/Fayette County Road V-62. For more information, see the website listed below.
Deadline for receipt of comments is September 30, 2016; however, all correspondence received after this date will be included in the project files and reviewed as the project is developed.
