Public input requested for a proposed bridge improvement on Iowa 76 in Allamakee County

The Iowa DOT is requesting public input for a proposed Waterloo Creek Bridge replacement on Iowa 76, 2.2 miles North of Allamakee County Road A-26 in Allamakee County.

The existing 3-span, 210’ x 26’ steel girder bridge would be replaced with a 225’ x 44’ pretensioned prestressed concrete beam bridge. Construction of the project is expected to begin in 2025.

Through traffic on Iowa 76 would be maintained during construction.
